Mission Statement

Currently the site/society is in its early stages of life. Eventually I would like to get a film database set up, as well as some regular features. I would like to have sections on the silent era, musicals, foreign films, film-noir, etc. At some point an actual meeting of the society would be ideal (perhaps even our very own classic film festival!)

What Is Classic Film?

Classic film could be defined as films made during the “Old Hollywood” era (roughly everything prior to 1967), but I think for the sake of this society we’ll include everything from 1979 and earlier.
